Headquartered in the heart of Wisconsin's paper-rich Fox River Valley, Valley Grinding & Manufacturing is quietly making a dramatic impact on the converting industry. Founded in 1987, as a cutting tool sharpening service to nearby paper mills and paper converters, Valley Grinding has evolved into a full nationwide service supplier to the converting and manufacturing industries.

In the fall of 1994, Valley Grinding began construction of a 15,000 square foot addition to its Little Chute, Wisconsin facility. This facility now houses Valley Grinding's state-of-the-art manufacturing operation. Today Valley Grinding manufactures a wide variety of custom and standard circular knives, bottom bands, flat knives, solid carbide and solid ceramic razor blades, specialty knives as well as a patented (#5085535) TRU-FIT™ split band. All custom and standard industial blades, bands and knives are manufactured from the highest grade of tool steel required for the customer's machine and cut quality needs.

Valley Grinding has led in the development of new technologies and customer-focused quality control measures to offer industry the finest in cutting options. By implementing the use of powdered metals and cryogenics, for example, Valley Grinding has offered its customers nationwide the ultimate slitting and cutting products and solutions. New blades, as well as all reground blades, are shipped with protective edge coatings. Custom-made protective shipping containers are available. All products manufactured by Valley Grinding meet or exceed OEM specifications. And a fully equipped in-house quality control lab including video direct microscope and coordinate measuring machine rounds out the company's operation.

The expansion of products offered led to the establishment of branch offices. In 1993 Valley Grinding expanded its operations with the opening of an office in Tyrone, Georgia to serve customers in the southeast. In 1996 Valley Grinding again expanded its operations with the construction of a shop in the Columbus, Ohio area. This facility provides custom manufactured products and services to customers in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, lower Michigan, and northern Kentucky.
